Boom’s Consumer Relations team can provide you with a copy of any rental application report that we supplied to your housing provider for a rental unit you applied to within the past 60 days—at no cost. This report, known as your consumer file, includes all relevant information Boom currently has on record for you from data vendors.
- If your dispute involves credit bureau data, Boom will submit the request to the appropriate bureau and return the results of their investigation to you.
- If the dispute involves inaccurate or outdated criminal or eviction data, or an incorrect identity, Boom will investigate directly with the data vendor and notify you of the outcome.
If the investigation results in any changes or removals to your credit report or records, Boom will take action. In the form below, you may also request that we notify the property management company to edit their records and take any action necessary on the application. Boom will also notify the data vendors to make respective changes to the information on file.
Steps to Request a Copy of Your Report or File a Dispute
- Step 1: If you only want to request a copy of your report, fill out the form below. You can skip Step 2, and fill out them form with the selection “Request a copy of report”. You do not need to email any documentation.
- Step 2: If you believe that any part of your report is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request an investigation. Gather documentation that will support your dispute case.
- Step 3: Complete the form below to submit your dispute case or request a report. Please use this option only if you have identified a potential error, and have the documentation ready to send.
- Step 4: Once you’ve completed the form below, please email [email protected] with your supporting documentation attached to the email, and provide your full name.
- Step 5: Boom will reach out to you with the email provided on file from the form if any additional information or documentation is needed from you.
- Step 6: Boom will provide an update on the results of the investigation and the next steps, or provide a copy of your report if that was your request.
